** CAP D’AGDE **
Cape Town Agde is a seaside resort in the French commune of Agde in the Hérault department. It is located at the foot of an ancient volcano, Mont Saint-Loup, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It was built starting in 1970 on the site of a marshland as part of the Languedoc-Roussillon coastal tourism development plan.
Attractive areas were created, such as the Île des Loisirs (an amusement park, a casino, bars, and three nightclubs), the Arènes du Cap, which offers various shows (and bull-pools throughout the summer), Aqualand (one of the first) and, between Cap d’Agde and Grau d’Agde, the Archipel Aquatic Center (“Cité de l’eau”), a 21st-century construction, a joint venture between the city and the Hérault Méditerranée urban community. ___________________________________________________
