For five years, Angolan Dances has brought together dancers, artists, musicians and culture lovers from around the world to celebrate the richness and diversity of Angolan culture.
In 2027, we return to Lisbon for our fifth edition with a special tribute to Kizomba, the dance and cultural movement that has connected generations and crossed borders.
This is more than a festival.
It is a celebration of Angolan identity, music, dance, culture and community.

Kizomba is at the heart of Angolan Dances.
For the 5th Gold Edition, we celebrate its history, evolution and global influence through dance, music and the artists who continue to carry this culture around the world.
From Angola to Lisbon and from Lisbon to the world, this edition is dedicated to the people, artists and generations who have contributed to making Kizomba a global cultural movement.

ANGOLAN CARNIVAL EXPERIENCE
As part of the 5th Gold Edition, participants will experience a special Angolan Carnival animation connecting the festival with the streets of Lisbon.
The experience will take place around Rua 24 de Julho and Mercado da Ribeira.

A specialised intensive training programme designed for dancers who want to deepen their knowledge of Angolan dances and develop their technique, musicality, connection and cultural understanding.

The programme combines direct learning from artists from Angola with the expertise of leading instructors based in Europe.
Up to five artists from Angola and five leading European-based instructors will take part in the programme.
